Linecascade  線瀑流

Linecascade is an experimental abstract animation created through a frame-by-frame, handmade process using tape. The imagery is built from layers of overlapping patterns, where lines continually accumulate and cancel each other out. Each configuration emerges with a degree of unpredictability that the creator cannot fully control. After being shot frame by frame and then played in reverse, the animation allows the lines to flow and grow like a cascading waterfall. The reversed sequence generates unique random effects that even the director cannot foresee until the work is finally completed.

The handmade process inevitably leaves behind mistakes and imperfections, yet these subtle deviations give a carefully structured composition room to breathe and a sense of life. In an era shaped by AI, where images move toward flawless precision, these traces of handcraft become irreplaceable marks of originality. The finished work reveals endless possibilities through randomly generated, overlapping transitions, guiding viewers to experience the unexpected beauty that emerges in the flow of lines.

《Linecascade 線瀑流》是一部實驗性抽象動畫，採用膠帶逐格手工製作。畫面由層層疊起的圖案構成，線條在影像中不斷重疊、互相取消，每一個圖案的生成都帶著創作者無法完全掌控的偶然性。動畫透過逐格拍攝後再倒轉播放，使線條如瀑布般流動、生長，倒轉帶來的特殊隨機效果，往往連導演也難以預期，直到最後完成的一刻才能看見真正的視覺結果。手工製作難免留下錯誤與不完美，但正是這些細微的偏差，使原本工整的構圖多了呼吸與生命。在AI時代，影像逐漸趨向無瑕與精準，然而這些手作的痕跡反而成為無法被複製的原創印記。作品最終呈現隨機生成、重疊漸變的無限可能，引導觀者在流動的線條之間感受意外所帶來的美感。
